NCR Defender to be charged in Court tomorrow

HU Editor

Numpang Anak Suntai (picture right) will be charged in the Magistrate Court in Serian tomorrow morning, allegedly for criminal intimidation.

Last month, Numpang together with 290 other representatives of the 15 Iban communities from Sebangan, Simunjan, Sarawak had filed a suit against Quality Concrete Sdn Bhd, a logging company substantially owned by Sarawak Chief Minister’s sister Roziah @ Raziah Mahmud, for trespassing and encroachment into their native customary rights land.

Family members, friends and relatives of the gentle-speaking Numpang are expected to crowd the Serian District Office premises to show their support for him and the on-going battles to defend native customary land rights in Sarawak.

  7. Let us not only talk.

Time to change Yb Julaihi Narawai.

    Answer Christina S Suntai’s call http://www.sebangan.blogspot.com/

MMoney is needed to move the machinery to penetrate the hinterland of Sarawak. I am base in WM. Many Dayaks realise we have been short changed.

Many are willing to go back to campaign for change. But they do not have the funds.

SSSF and MOCS will be launching a joint fund raising exercise for that purpose.

RM1 will go a long way to meet the objective. Imagine 100,000 people donate RM1 each, that would be RM100,000 collected to help in the campaign for change.

I know, locally the banks use is PBB. Many of us use Maybank and Maybank2u and donating RM1 is a hassle.

I am not putting it to you that you have to donate RM10.00 which you can bank in at Cash Machine.

All I am asking for is to pool your mates together, colleagues and family members. From the money raised, than go in a proudly bank in to support the campaign for change.

Your RM1 is equivalent to Taib’s RM1,000,000. For once we can really see how much our dollar can work the extra mile to get rid of Taib and BN who has caused our RM1 to be of not much value.

    Common guys, do something!

Now is the time. I sense Taib and his lackeys peeing in their pants. I enjoy seeing him on “Damage Control Mode” after the expose at Pulau Bruit.

I want to see him panicking everyday for making everyones life a misery.

Remember it is only RM1 I am helping to ask. If you can you can donate more. Thanks.

    • We shall appreciate if MoCS and other like minded organisation could help organise and coordinate for all Sarawakians residing in various parts of West Malaysia to come home to vote. Make known to all Sarawakians working in the West to register their contacts numbers and address and we in Sarawak shall do our parts to set up the fund to pay for their flights and or transport of our brothers and sisters to come home to Sarawak to vote. Thanks to all concerned Sarawakians to donate what they can afford.

Change we must and the change must be NOW!

  8. You got to backfire them for the many damages committed on the land. A certified audit on the varieties of trees hewed down. The number of days illegal stay on the land. A calling for the removal of the Headmen and persons who involved in the hidden transaction. A calling for totalled returns of the timber extracted and a compensation to the ground damages and the illegal nestling in the communal land. Take a legal course of action against the enforcement for the wrongful arrest and trauma in Sebuyau gaol. Apparently with these contingencies our poor landowners may have at least some peace of mind to justify their claims and protections of the native customary rights over their homeland. Nya Meh Y Agi Idup Agi Ngelaban.

  9. I just called my sister who is in Serian with Numpang right now. There were many supporters, mainly our own relatives from Sebangan and Kuching. She told me there was nobody wearing red shirts around! Ce la vie.

  10. Thank you for all your support and I am touched. Keep up the spirit and as long as we breath, we will fight for justice and basic human rights, so help us God.

If loggers cut down your fruit trees, bulldozed your farms and rubber trees, polluted your drinking water, steal valuable trees from your NCR forest, don’t we have the rights to protect our properties? Barisan Nasional Administration called it “criminal intimidation” for my brother’s role in protecting our NCR properties! If I go to Taib Mahmud’s backyard and destroyed his compound, will he not protect his properties? Can I then charged Taib Mahumd, his sister Radaiah and his cronies with “criminal intimidation”? If a robber came to our house and robbed us and we defended our property from being taken, can the robber then charge us with “criminal intimidation”?

The loggers who destroyed Ulu Sebangan and stole our valuable trees are free. They are the ones who should be charged like common criminals for robbery and balatant disregards of our human rights!

Since Numpang was released from jailed, the police had been harrassing him many times by asking him to come to Simunjan Police Station for more questioning. When he and Helen returned from the Police staion, they were always too upset to eat. Our family has been stressed out over this but it makes us more determine to protect our basic human rights. We have the right to protect our property.

My younger brother, Numpang Suntai, a gentle soul who belives in doing the right thing and always lead a good and honest life is going to face the Magistrate Court in Serian. This is the way how good and honest citizens of Malaysia are being intimidated by the current BN administration? As long as I breath, I will fight for my dear brother with everything I got, so help me God!

  16. Dayaks will turn up in full force in court to show our solidarity and stand by our respected hero like Numpang Anak Suntai. Sarawak need more Dayaks like Numpang to defend Dayak dignity and our land rights. Numpang and all Sarawakians are not anti establishment or anti-government. We shall continue to stand up against gross injustice and a highly corrupted regime which has eroded our institutions including PDRM, MACC, Judicail and the AG chamber.

    • Wear red t-shirts and demonstrate in court tomorrow ! Dayaks must take time off from their busy schedule to show solidarity for Numpang Anak Suntai , the Rentap and hero of our Dayak community. Let us show the thief minister, his deputy thieves and all his stooges that Dayaks shall never ever be trampled upon and have their lands stolen from under their noses.

  18. This is really…really BANCHAT as no Iban leader from BN has the ball to assist or at least voice out their support to their fellow Iban who are victimized by Taik Mamut. Disgrace for all of them and it’s too shameful to mention their names. Better get their balls neutered since they don’t deserved to have one.
