Stop it! BN tells PKR. But if not BN who else?

G Vinod

Its leaders want PKR to stop consistently accusing the ruling coalition of masterminding sex video exposé.

Barisan Nasional leaders today told PKR to stop accusing the ruling coalition of masterminding sex videos purportedly implicating the latter’s senior leaders.

MIC secretary-general S Murugesan said both sides of the political divide are open to such gutter attacks, but it was exasperating when BN gets blamed all the time.

“When something bad is exposed against BN, we get the bad name. When the other side is accused of something wrong, we get blamed as well,” said Murugesan.

PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution recently alleged that Umno agents are preparing to publish videos and pictures, implicating several senior party leaders in sexual misconduct.

Among the leaders mentioned were Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar and Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

Anwar had also filed a RM100 million defamation suit against blogger Papagomo for publishing photos purportedly showing the former engaged in a homosexual act.

Murugesan said that in light of such allegations, it is best for PKR leaders to either admit fault or seek legal recourse.

“But don’t divert people’s attention by playing the blame game. It’s more important to address the issues head-on,” he added.

‘Do some reflection’

Umno MP Baharum Mohamad echoed his views, saying that it has always been PKR and the opposition pact’s modus operandi to blame BN whenever they are caught in a bind.

“But this is a problem they themselves created. It’s not good to point fingers at others,” he said.

Baharum added that the public has been growing weary of Pakatan Rakyat’s blame game over the past several years.

“PKR should do some reflection and find out what’s happening. Solve your own problems and stop using the old school tactic of blaming others,” said Baharum.

People’s Progressive Party information chief A Chandrakumanan said that PKR should concentrate on fulfilling promises it made to the people in states it is currently governing.

“Parliament’s mandate is expiring on April 28. PKR and Pakatan should use the time left to fulfil their unkept promises made in 2008,” he said.

Calling it a political gimmick, Chandrakumanan said that the PKR blaming others for its own folly was an attempt to garner sympathy votes from the electorate.

“You [PKR] want to talk bad about BN, fine. But at the same time, show us how you can do things better in terms of development, at least in the states you are controlling,” he said.

In related matter, Perkasa secretary-general Syed Hassan Syed Ali urged Anwar to leave things to God if he is innocent.

“Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak’s government is busy developing the country and helping the people. He has no time to make these kind of attacks,” he said.

  1. Papagomo ada kaitan dengan Umno!

  2. What’s about the video sex on Anwar by the Datuk Ts(Trio) and sodomy cases I and II? Whose work was that? It has been a crystal clear that UMNO’s top leaders directed their agents to smear the image of the opposition leader? Naturally, of course, Nurul Izzah becomes the next target as she is a formidable political enemy to UMNO.

Since when PERKASA knew God??? It(perkasa) is not fit to advice Anwar. Najib has been busy saving his own neck and if he is busy, he is only thinking of the strategies on how to make his family, cohorts and cronies become richer and richer at the expense of the ordinary rakyat?
