PAS is set to file a lawsuit against Sarawak Report in the UK in less than a month’s time, according to its president Abdul Hadi Awang.
“We have decided to file the case in England’s court because we were made to understand that the media outlet is based there.
“We know a senior counsel we have dealt with previously there,” Abdul Hadi told reporters at a press conference held at the party’s headquarters today.
The suit is about an article at Sarawak Report which alleged that PAS had received RM90 million from Prime Minister Najib Razak.
The allegation was criticised by other PAS leaders including its deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man who had reportedly said PAS would take legal action against the portal for its ill intention in tarnishing the party’s reputation as well as its Islamic policies.
