Bill Kayong murder suspect: His location is known, says Australian High Commissioner

The suspects still at large (from left) Dato Stephen Lee Chee Kiang, Chin and KongAustralian authorities have inferred that they are aware of the location of one of the suspects wanted by Malaysian police for the murder of former PKR Miri branch secretary Bill Kayong.

Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia Rod Smith however said he could not disclose much about the case because it was subjected to the legal processes in Australia.

“We have to allow those legal processes to run their course,” Smith said in a press conference here today (Aug 23).

One of the two remaining suspects wanted by the police, Lee Chee Kiang or also known as Datuk Stephen Lee, is believed to have fled to Australia, according to state CID chief SAC Dev Kumar.

On Aug 18, the suspect Chin Wui Chung gave himself up in the company of his lawyer at the Krokop police station, leaving only Lee and Kong Sien Ming still at large.
