azam bakiThe Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission is tracing more witnesses to help in investigations relating to the case on corruption and abuse of bank authority, said MACC director of investigations Azam Baki.

Azam said MACC is tracking the witnesses from the recorded conversations of those arrested.

“We have recorded statements from more than 10 people, including a bank managing director, contractor as well as private parties involved,” he said when contacted here today.

Azam said other witnesses traced included those who held various positions from throughout the country.
However, he said, the number of witnesses relating to the offence of corruption had yet to be determined.

On August 29, a bank officer with a ‘Tan Sri’ title was detained by the MACC to facilitate investigations in a corruption and abuse of power case.

The Tan Sri is the third person from the bank arrested by the MACC in connection with the same case.

A managing director with a ‘Datuk’ title was arrested on August 25 and another officer, the following day.

  1. Fuk the bullshits and initiate the opening of probes on 1MDB. Malaysians are not interested in your bullshits stories and for going after ikan bilis. Take action against the IGP and AG for obstructing MACC investigation on 1MDB and Najib.
