Malaysians must realise that there are many things that are beyond the control of a prime minister, Najib Razak said.
In a blog post about his 40-year experience in the political arena and in government, Najib said those who thought that a prime minister had the knowledge and power over everything in the country were wide off the mark.
“I am but a humble servant of God, with weaknesses and still things that I must learn.”
Unfortunately, the Umno president lamented many, especially those with an agenda, still levelled countless allegations to cloud the eyes of the rakyat to score points.
“This is the reality of politics.”
Najib, who is also the finance minister, however, said this would not deter him from working for the betterment of the country and Islam, which he said were his only motivations.
He went on to thank his Cabinet members for carrying out their duties, which played a part in developing the nation, economically and in the sporting arena, despite the obstacles.
