Idris Jusoh: National higher education policy stays for now despite Trump’s victory

Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said the national higher education policy will be continued and students can continue with their studies as normal. — Picture by Yusof Mat IsaThe Higher Education Ministry (KPT) will conduct a detailed review of the national higher education policy if the education policy of the United States changes in line with the change in its leadership.

Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said the national higher education policy would be continued and students could continue with their studies as normal.

“To date, there are no changes to the national educational policy with the United States and it proceeds as normal with no changes,” he told reporters after handing over the 56th key for a community house to Wan Malik Wan Hassan, 43, in Kampung Lay Out Tok Has here, today.

Idris was commenting on the victory of Donald Trump as the new president of the United States.

Trump, during his campaign had made many controversial statements, including statements that had elements of anti-Islam and racist in nature.

He had also claimed that he would bar Muslims from entering the United States.
