Najib to visit Kuching, Miri on Dec 18

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is expected to open the RM211-million Batang Sadong Bridge. — Picture courtesy of ChiatYang Ng/Google MapNajib Razak is scheduled to make a one-day visit to Kuching and Miri on Dec 18.

A statement issued today by the State Protocol and Public Relations Unit of the Chief Minister’s Department said Najib is expected to open the RM211-million Batang Sadong Bridge near here in the morning.

The 1.48-km-long bridge spanning the Sadong River is in the Batang Sadong parliamentary constituency of Datuk Nancy Shukri, a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.

Najib is also scheduled to go to Miri where he will launch eight more packages of the ongoing Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak project at the Eastwood Valley Country Club.

The statement said the Prime Minister was also expected to witness the signing of 10 work packages by contractors and hand over to them contract documents, letters of award and letters of intent.

Najib will be accompanied by Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem and Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof on the visits.
