Raymond-Koh_wife_pray_600The family of Pastor Raymond Koh is still in the dark over what happened to him after he was abducted about 46 days ago, reported The Borneo Post Online.

“We fear what has happened to him,” said his wife, Susanna Liew at the prayer vigil held at Padang Merdeka near here.

Some 500 people attended the prayer vigil which started at 7.30pm and ended at 9.30pm.

Liew said the family still did not have much news about his whereabouts and it had been a difficult time for them.

“It is only by God’s grace that he has kept us all this while,” she said.

She added that her family hoped that God, in his perfect time, would reunite her husband with the family.

“My father left his job as a pastor to be a social worker,” said his daughter Esther.

“He was inspired to help the poor,” she said, adding that the family was shocked and confused by his abduction.

The Borneo Post quoted Esther as saying she had many questions swirling in her mind, one of which was how such a thing could have happened to a man who had dedicated his life to charity.

She also wondered why, despite the close-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage, the case has remained unsolved.

Koh, 62, was abducted by a group of masked men on Jalan SS4B/10, less than 100 metres from the Police Housing Complex in Kelana Jaya on Feb 13.

He was driving a silver Honda Accord bearing the licence plate ST 5515 D.

CCTV camera footage shows that the abduction that took place in broad daylight appeared to have been well-executed, involving more than 10 men and seven vehicles.

The family has offered a reward of RM100,000 for information on the pastor’s whereabouts.
