  2. Abang Johari must not for a second think that Sarawakians of all faiths are stupid. He and the BN government in Sarawak must reject any Bill that is against the Federal Constitution. He only shows his lack of leadership quality if he insisted that Sarawak government under Umno Baru controlled BN would support any Bill that is not Hudud without considering the nature of the Bill or if it is unconstitutional.

  3. For as long as any Bill to be tabled is against the Federal Constitution and spirit of Federalism of Malaysia it must be rejected regardless if the Bill is Shariah or civil in nature. Both Muslim and non Muslim MPs must be very firm on that . Do not use religion or race to alter the Constitution.

  4. Malaysians with any ounce of intelligence already knew Hadi’s private bill would be debated when the PM and DPM announced that the government would not table the bill and it was up to the Speaker to allow or disallow the debate. Infact Hadi Awang was not the least surprised or angry at Najib’s U turn on Act 355. The entire episode was a wayang kulit orchestrated by Najib and Hadi when they got wind of strong objection from BN components and Sabah and Sarawak state government. UMNO Baru MPs were already instructed to support the motion and vote for the Shariah amendment sought by UMNO Baru new ally and PAS ‘s president. Sarawak and Sabah BN MPs must not waver. Sarawakians and Sabahans are watching if both Sarawak and Sabah BN had been deceiving them and misled them into believing that Najib had listened to both Sarawak and Sabah and BN components in the ” spirit of consensus in BN”. The whole thing was staged.
