How Najib plans to win

Filed under: Politics — Hornbill Unleashed @ 8:02 AM

Najib (Abdul Razak) is fully aware of the dire consequences to him if he loses. He will therefore leave no stone unturned in his effort to get the votes for the 14th General Election. He knows the possibility of losing even in his constituency of Pekan. In 1999 he won only by 241 votes and that also by hijacking votes of soldiers encamped in other constituencies.

For some time now he is striving to starve the opposition of funds.

Elections are costly. Posters, flags and buntings need a lot of money. Literally hundreds of thousands of these have to be produced. They will cost millions. The workers must be paid allowances, fed nasi lemak and bottled drinks. There will be tens of thousands of them. At two bottles a day, 30,000 to 40,000 of bottle will be drunk.

Then the vehicles have to be rented or borrowed. Fuel would have to be paid for.

Rallies and ceramahs cost money. Thousands will attend and some drinking water would be needed. Tents and stages and public address systems will have to be rented.

All these need millions. If you do not have millions you cannot influence the people. Najib has billions. He is ensuring the opposition receive no donations.

How? By imposing taxes on any money owned by even the relatively rich. And so – Money of more than RM 40,000 taken out from the bank will be asked to be accompanied by details as to how the money is to be spent. Any hint that the money is to be donated to opposition parties will meet obstacles in withdrawals, and harassments from income tax people.

Any borrowing for this purpose will not be approved.

The LHDN (Inland Revenue Board) will demand for payment of back taxes sometimes amounting to hundreds of millions. If disputed, the tax payer must pay first or be black listed. He may even be raided, records and passports seized.

If the court finds there is no justification, it would take years before the money is returned.

And now the AMLA (Anti Money Laundering Act) is used. Never mind if there is no evidence. But if LHDN or some government agencies declare that a person with money in a bank is suspected of money laundering then the money would be frozen. The process of proving there was no money laundering would take years. During that time the money cannot be accessed by the owner. No contribution to the opposition would be possible.

Of course money in the account of the prime minister and certain government members would not be frozen in Malaysia. They will not be accused of money laundering. They will be free to give the money to BN parties during election.

You can lodge a police report. You risk being questioned and detained. You may be charged with sabotage of the economy, or of being a terrorist.

The courts may throw out the case. But that would take years. You will suffer all kinds of harassment, made bankrupt, deprived of your passport etc. During appeals to the Appeal Court and then the Federal Court, the harassment of the victim will go on. This is meant to deter others from attempting to support the opposition.

With Pakatan Harapan financially paralysed, Najib expects to win based on his enormous financial strength and the willingness of the administrative officers to commit wrongdoings if ordered to.

I have been accused of having destroyed democracy during my tenure. Since democracy has been destroyed already, the only thing that is being done by Najib must constitute kleptocracy.

  2. Tun M did many horrible things during his reign esp to Sabahan Malaysian. Remember d street bombings around KK town, the wee hour ‘power grab’ incident at Istana Negeri, d ‘punishments’ exerted on Sabahans for voting BN out, d so called ‘Projek IC, just to name a few.

But even as a Sabahan, l found that all these ‘sins’ by Tun M are nothing compared to d sins by MO1 + BMW(black magic woman) and their thieving gangs. I hv come to terms with Tun M now n l strongly believe that he is on a ‘final mission’ to save d country. Tun M has repent and swallowed his pride at the grandvoldcage of 91 to join Pakatan and shook hand with Anwar. ONLY Tun M can awaken and pull the Malays out of supporting BN in the next GE. Considering the ‘fragility’ among the opposition bloc’s and with Anwar still behind bar, Tun M is our Only hope for a fighting chance with d mighty BN.

Not so much of who is the future right PM when we are having the wrong PM right now.

  3. Malaysians are not concerned about how much Umno Baru controlled BN spent in every election or who funded both Umno Baru controlled BN and Pakatan Harapan. The contentious issue was Najib had stolen money from 1MDB and SRC International to fund GE13. These two corporations never had business incomes but money borrowed from banks and institutions. Can that big mouth idiot Nazri Aziz stop trying to cover up for Najib?

  4. The rural poor in India had proven time and again they could be the King makers despite being threatened or offered bribes to retain an incompetent regime to power. They had always voted with their heads and conscience. They would not hesitate to change a bad and corrupt government.

Yet the Malay youth are not taught mandarin, while whole nations asset in China hands. Very soon all the Malay youth will have to beg the China firms for job but for China investors everything will be imported from China, even a single piece of screw are not source locally, at the end Malaysian became economic prisoners in their own country. History in future will be proof that Najib son of Razak betrayed the nation as he sold all national asset to China!!! Your foul mouth MO1 are a CURSE to Malaysia, DARE YOU ASK ; APA LAGI CINA MAU…betrayer of Malaysia MO1.

  5. Now TM realises how difficult it is for the Opposition to fight the incumbent ruling Govt. when sitting at the opposite side.No use blaming Najib for all the challenges that the Opposition faces now.Politics is the same every where. You are in to win in the game.In this country, the Opposition faces greater difficulties because the playing field is never level and fair.So be it.The point of the matter now is to rev up the peoples’ sentiments to favour for a real change. Then appealing for funds and peoples’ contributions will be a breeze if the people are convinced by the Opposition. Before all these can happen,PHarapan must get together and present a real united front and a clear platform of reforms to assure the people. If Anwar is the most favoured person to be PM(from survey),then let all the PH parties, especially TM, announce that Anwar shall be the PM. Get the act together clearly and assuredly that will make the people comfortable with their vote. Can PH be firm and forge ahead?
