State PKR reps among several groups to make courtesy call on Uggah

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas yesterday received several courtesy calls, including one from members of the opposition.

The opposition members were state Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders – Ba Kelalan assemblyman Baru Bian, Batu Lintang assemblyman See Chee How and Krian assemblyman Ali Biju – who met with Uggah at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya here.

Welcoming the visitors was Assistant Minister of Native Land Development Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn.

Apart from the state PKR group, State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Deputy Speaker Dato Gerawat Gala, Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) head Datu Dr Ngenang Janggu, and Majlis Adat Istiadat Sarawak council head Datu Ganie Ugay also met up with Uggah.

Uggah also received a courtesy call from delegation members of the National Convention 2017 – Junior Chamber International Hong Kong, led by Teresa Poon.

The delegation is here for four days starting yesterday. They will be visiting the new DUN complex, Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Kuching Civic Centre, State Museum, a Sarawak Laksa factory and Sarawak Cultural Village.

Representatives of three companies also paid Uggah a courtesy call. They were Wee Boon Ping Group chairman Datuk Wee Kok Tiong, Sunsuria Berhad executive chairman Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap and Citic Sunsuria Sdn Bhd chief executive officer (CEO) Dato Tan Tian Meng, and delegation leader Dato Goh Leng Chua.

Recoda CEO Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot briefed these visitors on the latest development in the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE).

Also present during the briefing was Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Dayaks form the largest ethnic group in Sarawak and are having huge membership in Umno Baru controlled PBB but the number of Dayaks in government departments are less than 20% compared to over 55% for Malays. What the fuk are Dayak leaders in BN Sarawak thinking? So long as Dayak YBs were given projects, land and at least two terms they will not fight for the rights, interests and plight of the Dayaks.
