Hudud: S’wak to toe Najib’s lineState Islamic Affairs Minister Daud Abdul Rahman said information on Islam must be indicative of the mentality and practices of Muslims.
Sarawak will comply with any decision or stand made by Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak on the motion of the private bill for hudud.
Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs) Daud Abdul Rahman said today the hudud implementation must be in tandem with the current development so that all quarters, including non-Muslims truly understood hudud law.
“As happened during the time of the Prophet, hudud punishment was never implemented. It was a natural process and its implementation encompassed everyone,” he told reporters after officiating the Sarawak level Higher Institutes of Learning Fatwa seminar at the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Tun Abang Salahuddin Islamic Centre here.
He was asked on Sarawak’s stand on the hudud implementation in Kelantan which was expected to be tabled in Parliament this June or December at the latest.
Daud said if the hudud law was implemented in Kelantan, it would cause all kinds of complication such as giving rise to feelings of uneasiness among non-Muslims.
“In actual fact information and understanding of the hudud law should be implemented first to the community and in this context, the Islamic Information Centre needs to play a role.
“If there is still some fears among Muslims or non-Muslims on the hudud law, it shows that public understanding is still unclear,” he said.
At the same time, information on Islam must be indicative of the mentality and practices of Muslims themselves so that non-Muslims were respectful and attracted to the religion, said Daud.

However, it was PBB that sold Sarawak to Malaya under Tun Rahman Sarawak Traitor NO I. Under PBB Sarawak became a state in Malaysia and not as equal partner. There should be no Minister for Islamic Affairs,Christian Affairs,Buddhist Affairs and etc. Check again the 18 Points Agreement but PBB changed every thing. Now the Pesaka Wing is just the Pak Turut as none of them is having “jegal”. No wonder they are there just to be bullied all the while. I think the PKR should double your efforts more to overthrow these Dayak traitors in PBB comes the coming state election. Nothing for Dayaks to lose from removing these traitors, mute and “jegaless” politicians.Very soon Doud Abdul Rahman will convert them to Muslims by bribing them with millions of ringgit.

Is Daud Abdul Rahman suggesting that Sarawak follow Kelantan and implement HUDUD here as well?

To toe the line to any dogmatic doctrines signals the end of critical thinking. We as Sarawakian are no longer thinker beings if we succumb to religious dogmas.

“… indicative of the mentality and practices…” is not attractive at all what more to say HUDUD! And daud must remember that Sarawak has no State religion so jangan nak ikut ikut saja Malaya on religious issues! We do not want Sarawak to be ATTRACTIVE to Isma, Perkasa and the rest of them bigots from Malaya!
